KVK Innovation Top 100
On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) presented the 17th edition of the ranking list featuring 100 tangible innovations realized by the Dutch small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The strength of the KVK Innovation Top 100 lies in showcasing the capabilities of the Dutch SMEs. The KVK Innovation Top 100 intentionally does not involve a monetary prize. Over the past 16 years, this award has grown to become the largest and most important innovation prize for SMEs.
Forefront
Each year, an expert jury establishes a new ranking. And every year, it is once again surprised by the diversity and quality of the entries. This year too, the number one will naturally claim the greatest honor. But all 99 other winners can rightfully be proud of their place in the Chamber of Commerce Innovation Top 100. It is a qualification that shows your company is at the forefront and is innovative in your industry.
Innovation in the Achterhoek region
This year, Tibach BV is featured in the Chamber of Commerce Innovation Top 100. Tibach BV has developed a new, environmentally friendly, and patented method for killing the Japanese knotweed through freezing. Holes are drilled into the ground, right in the middle of the plant, and freezing lances are inserted. A coolant circulates through the lances at a temperature of -35ºC, resulting in the freezing of the soil around the lances. The method was tested for effectiveness in collaboration with Wageningen University Research. They concluded that the invasive species is not resistant to the cold, while there is no adverse impact on the soil’s biodiversity and seed bank.
